Roisin (pronounced Ro-sheen) was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1981. At the age of eight she took up the guitar with her brother, and started off singing at weddings, receptions and local concerts. Several years later Roisin continued by teaching herself to play guitar, and sang for 7 years in a choir. After a couple of solo performances, she branched out as a solo artist. In 2000 she wrote her first original inspired by a personal blow, and has since been composing her own material.
