Rose Brio is a symphonic metal violinist, violist and cellist based in Melbourne. Her music is always something a bit "different" and despite aiming for metal tones- Rose herself is not sure what category it falls in to. "I just play" she says. "If people like it then that's wonderful but if not- am still gonna play. I love metal and those heavier tones and definitely like making something darker. But then sometimes it ends up completely different to what I started with and I can't put in in a set genre. It's all music." Back in 2011 her ability to play at all was threatened when she injured both her hands in a car accident and was told she'd never play again. Since then, she has pushed through and worked as a session musician before releasing her first album, 'Paper Jar' in September 2016. She is currently working as a session musician and practicing with her new band to be back on the "scene" again early 2017.
