Bio history
Rose started singing at age 9, proving to be an exciting young talent at a rapid pace. However, during adolescence, stage fright began to cripple Rose's confidence - steering her away from singing until age 25, when she began to pick it back up as a means of expression in coping with depression. As music and singing played such a pivotal role in conquering her mental illness, Rose feels that there has been no better time than now to embrace her voice and share it, and her stories, with others. Rose brings listeners onboard her adventure through dark and powerful emotions, with the finess, tenderness, and overall catchiness of a true professional
Hi! I'm Sophia, but I go by Rosé; a spiced up take on my middle name, Rose. I grew up in New Zealand, and while I've been involved in music and performing for as long as I can remember, song-writing is something I predominantly kept to myself until recently. Currently I'm 20 years old, and devoting most of my time studying jazz in Brisbane. However, in my free time I'm writing music; most of which is pop, with a very ballad-y, acoustic, soul inspired feel (most of which very much influenced by kiwi music). My music is inspired by adversities and challenging experiences that have come with growing up; experiencing bullying, as well as navigating change, grief, and mental illness. 'Care About You' is my debut single as a solo artist but there is many more in the works!
