Barely a year ago, after a string of solo EPs, multi-instrumentalist Roxy Lavish assembled The Suicide Cult -- a constantly evolving big band of fellow wanderers and neo-mystics. And now, with a bunch of shows under their belt, the band is ready to unleash their debut album. JOIN US OR DIE ALONE is a 9 song mixed bag of roaring harp driven blues and Brian Jonestown Massacre-esque three chord stoner jams, underpinned by Lavish's dark and imagistic brand of storytelling. The first single is "Jimmy Reed and The King", a hellfire blast of bluesy rock n roll, which not so much sings but howls at the injustices of the cannibalistic music industry.
