Runaway Belles is a brand new Indie Folk Pop duo featuring Tash Parker and Emma Anglesey. With a focus on storytelling and making their two voices sound as one, Tash and Emma sing in constant harmony. Their voices are almost inseparable -- even their mothers can’t tell who’s singing. The girls are best friends who have lived together in Launceston for over 2-years and the year before lockdown they played festivals including Woodford’s The Planting Festival, Party In The Paddock, Falls Festival, MONA FOMA and Cygnet Folk Festival. On May 4th 2020, while the world was in lockdown, Runaway Belles released their first single ‘The Weekend’. They were approached by Jack Stafford (re._stacks) on Instagram to do a PR photo shoot and had so much fun that they ended up making a film clip for the single release together while in iso. The girls filmed themselves directed by Jack over Skype and uploaded the footage for editing.
