G'day. My name is Shafiq Zailani aka S-Sassin MC. I've been rhyming and honing my skills since early in high school but I've never really bothered to get my music out there. I love REAL Hip Hop from the 80's and 90's and the underground hip hop of today aka 'backpacker hip hop.' Call it what you want, this is the music that influenced me because it has so much meaning and purpose as opposed to the hip hop you hear in nightclubs. I also make my own beats under my alter ego, The Element. The reason for this is because I don't want people to see me as a mc/producer but rather an mc first and a producer second. I support local hip hop and I hope that it will support me back. Peace.
