Sad Little Souls are an R&B/Soul group forming in late-2011. The band is a collaboration of music between Jo Rigby & Walt Druce. Based in The Northern Rivers, NSW, they’ve created a growing fan base and are currently expanding the fan reach to other towns/cities such as Melbourne, Newcaslte and Sydney. Both Rigby & Druce studied a bachelor of music, majoring in performance. The group started playing as a Guitar & Vocal Duo, nonetheless Sad Little Souls wanted to extend their sound, so for their debut EP they assembled a 5 piece band with Jo Rigby Vocals, Walt Druce Guitar, Angus Graham Bass, James Healey Keys and Carl George Drums/Percussion. Although their underlying sound can be defined as R&B/Soul, composers Rigby & Druce, having such different musical backgrounds; Rigby coming from Folk, Pop and Soul; Druce with Blues, Rock and R&B background, the music written has elements of all this combined. ...Mmmmmm....funky...
