Rooted in folk-pop, Saltwood blends masterful songwriting with lush-jazz inspired textures. Inspired by Fleet Foxes, Regina Spektor and Radiohead, the all original 6 piece group put their own twist on the indie-folk style, creating a haunting introspective sound, exemplified by the EP's title track 'Mothsong.' Band-leader Lindsay Deppler’s deeply personal lyrics can be heard in the uplifting track 'If I Make it That Far' and accompanied by the gentle harmonies in 'Night Air’ - take the listener on a self-reflective, atmospheric journey. Mimi Strauss - "With their jazz foundation, Saltwood’s restrained sensibility and cohesive melancholic tone shows potential to bring a new perspective into the indie/folk scene currently crowded with sweethearts." - No More Division
