Many a song have been sung at a yearly pilgrimage by Sam, Lachie and the ones they love most dearly. Never before have the songs needed to be recorded, they were written for an audience who heard the songs live during the pilgrimage. In 2012 a set of unavoidable circumstances resulted in one of the two troubadours unable to sing for their loved ones. Hence the song had to be recorded.
