Australian artist Sam Hookey makes music that he would love to call 'folky pop', but unfortunately it's just too damn weird sounding. Originally from the state of Victoria, Sam makes music on-the-go as he struggles to find a fixed address somewhere on the planet, wandering from city to city in much the same way he drifts from genre to genre, melody to melody or beat to beat. Listen if you like music that scratches the veneer of modern sound, embracing errors and imperfections, to create an experience that is unique and comforting, like relaxing into the armchair you inherited from your grandfather. After releasing his first album in 2018 entitled 'The Cow War' (https://song.link/thecowwar), Sam brings back his unique style in 2020 with 'Hide in Plain Sight' (https://ampl.ink/NjmYR), an album centred around his experience as a university graduate that is totally lost.
