After several years in seperate projects Rohan Smith and Ben Lawrence have returned to the home studio to finish what they started - a melodic rock/pop/indie album under the name "Same Same". In a departure from their previous dark and heavy work "Same Same" represents the beginning point of a new journey of creating accessible and smooth guitar based pop. Written in and inspired by the spacious and rugged landscapes of Western Australia's mining region, the Pilbara, "Same Same" reflects a maturity in the long-time collaborators' songwriting style and works to the strengths of their key instruments - Bass and Drums respectively. Altogether the project is a ten-song collection with a few samples uploaded to the Triple J unearthed site as a taste of things to come. We hope that you enjoy.
