Samuel James is an author and artist from Brisbane, Australia. Having released his first book 'I'm Going to Lose Some Friends Over This' in 2017, Samuel is following that up with the release of his DEBUT EP, 'Kill Me In My Sleep So I Can’t Talk You Out Of It'. With a sound described as 'If Johnny Cash grew up listening to metal and hip hop', Samuel plans to leave no stone unturned on his journey to being the biggest hip hop artist in Australia.

Hailing from the the lushness and gorgeous people of Far South Coast NSW and now casting his sound of acoustic chill across the the city of Melbourne, Samuel James is a talent to keep eyes pealed and ears out for in the year to come! A performer since the age of 6, Samuel James has been apart of creating some high calibre acts that have come out of the Far South Coast such as Let Me Down Jungleman and NUNS (both on unearthed) which has taking him to play along side international acts La Dispute, Bridge and Tunnel David Libre and some great TripleJ talent Millions, Gung Ho, Jeremy Neale, Totally Unicorn, Smith Street Band, Hunting Grounds and many more. Samuel James is a Singer/Songwriter from Sydney. He is also lead singer of the alt-folk band Oxford & Co. Currently based in Chicago, Samuel has been writing and producing in songs in a brand new and very different direction. Ditching the acoustic instrumentation and soft vocals heard in O&Co. and replacing them with edgy electronic layers and penetrating pop hooks.
