Originally signed to Virgin Records Australia in the 1980s, the dreaded artistic differences led to the band fracturing. Reforming after nearly 25 years we have found that the chemistry is more or less still there. Mark is a film maker and has continued to write and sing for his own pleasure. Before Smaurai Trash, Mark was singer in Popular Mechanics and recorded with Tactics; both seminal Sydney bands from the late 70s. Geoffrey is a poet and musician. He publishes his own works on his own independent label _ Sticky Label. Before Samurai Trash he was part of the Surfside Six and recorded with the M Squared Label. Iain has performed with such bands as The Marcos Family and from 1987 to 1989 with Belly Dance, from 1995 to 1996 with Jallangalee and from 2001 to 2003 with Jamalia. Beck has developed as a songwriter in his own right and has performed with numerous bands around Sydney. Jerome has played bass with the Johnny Goodman Show Band, Explodng Happiness and Night Radio.
