Sárspell - an Old English word meaning "a sad story, a dolorous tale." 2006 - a frustrated musician writes material for a project that would lie dormant for nearly seven years, with the project going through numerous changes of name, line up and genre. 2013 - Sárspell is finally ready to be launched with a full on assault of the Melbourne metal scene. The brain child of vocalist Andrew Collyer and backed with an incredible array of talented musicians, Sárspell mixes a combination of modern black and death metal with ferocious melodies and progressive elements to create something totally unique and intense, bound to please the listener. Laying devastation to a number of venues across Melbourne in 2014 and backed by a well-received EP sees the band gearing up for an enormous future bringing a chaotic and violent live show to a venue near you.
