Scale started off in 1996 in a country town who after 4 years of playing locally, was banned from just about every venue within a 100km radius for the reason being "the pubs are getting too trashed!". Angry publicans put a stop to Scale from doing their thing as they didn't like the "undesirable" punters that the band was attracting to their pub, even though they were making the most amount of cash that they have ever recieved by putting on a "metal" band. Scale had to then venture out into the wide unknown in order to just get a gig, with no manager no money and no idea of what to do. Years passed and the band got by living on scraps of one-off gigs that were past down to them by other bands, still managing to impress the f@ck out of who ever saw them. However, this was not enough for some members of the band who wished more from it, and ended up leaving to persue honest livings and family after all of the shit they've been through. The remaining members moved to Melbourne in 2004
