Bio history
Scarecrow was formed in November 2007 after the break up of Mr Crowley. Michael Gumley(guitar/vox) assembled a band with members Jason Kristek(lead Guitar), Chris Czimermann(Bass) and Cheree Spowart(drums) and instantly began working on originals as well as covers in order to get on the local scene as fast as possible. In Early February Scarecrow played their first gig to over a hundred people at a lunchtime concert. Now with over 10 original songs and a host of covers Scarecrow are building a stronger fanbase with hopes to gig frequently and play their music to a greater audience.
Forming in 2007 from the break up of several bands, Scarecrow would dominate their secondary schools music scene with a series of original works and tight covers. Playing a few gigs here and there, plagued by lineup changes and school commitments the band decided to focus on writing and preparing themselves for a future of gigging. The time has come and Scarecrow are unleashing their furious combination of thrash-metal and hard rock upon Melbourne's local scene. Made up of brutal vocals and steady rhythm of Michael's Guitar, the face-melting Shred of Chris 'Czim' Czimmerman axework, the relentless drumming of Ben Sewell and the grinding bass of Ben Janeskiwich's acculate into the ultimate thrash sound. A New Force is rising in the west, the Scarecrow has awoken!!!
