Scenic Flights formed mid year 2007 under the name "The Confused". This name came from the Geilston Bay High School rock band. After their last performance of "Rock n Roll All Nite" at the end of year celebration for the school, the band went their seperate ways. The guitarist at the time Justin O'Garey attended a summer course early 2008 called "Rock School". Here he discovered two founding members, Tom Bomford (drummer) and Tom Botterill-James (guitarist). After the course had come to an end and the three entered their first year of College the band was introduced to the last founding member, Matt Banks (bassist). They first gained fans at Rosnystock 2008, and were winners of the Rosny Rock Challenge with their songs "Burn Me Alive" "Opium" and "Hold on! Trooper". Scenic Flights then reached a point that they needed a lead vocalist and they stumbled apon Brenden Fisher. Sadly though in late 2008 the band broke up due to musical differences and was left with Justin and Matt.
