Together since 2004, Schism has been working to amalgamate a range of songs for their EP, "Perpetual Devotion", and heralding things to come with the release of the debut single, "Crystal Glass" in 2008. Schism was born from the need for a vehicle for song-writers Michael J Peade (Lyricist) and Richard Johnstone (Guitarist) to get their music out there. As often is the case, the talents of the two songwriters came together purely by accident and a chance meeting, as Richard pushed to form a band that played only original material. After penning over 40 songs together, the time was right to record, perform and get the material out there. Founder of the band, Richard Johnstone's original intention was to use our bass player Stuart Johnson and drummer Shannon Jackson as session musicians,' explains Richard.
