The ‘Do it Yourself Guide to Covid times’, is a song for those many, many people with passions, desires and intimate needs which just can’t be fulfilled in these Covid times; with no gigs, pubs, parties, cafés, libraries, leaning spaces on a wall or naked faced walk by’s to help facilitate the magic of a new encounter. Grim times indeed for those with a beating heart and pheromones to spare. So we offer a practical and highly accessible solution. Take our advice or swing to the ska beat, or both. Either way you'll end up with a smile on your face. The Do It Yourself Guide to Covid times, by Scorch McBurn and The New Low, is catchy, cheeky (real cheeky) and eclectic. Loops from Thornbury, Melbourne were mixed in country Victoria, Daylesford, where the vocals were added, while the nifty trombone work was phoned in from Ballarat. Covid restrictions prevented us from getting together, but not from making music. This is both a song for our times and also for the ages.
