Scruples (scru-ple) noun 1. (usu. scruples) A feeling of doubt or hesitation with regard to the morality or propriety of a course of action. E.g. I had no scruples about eavesdropping. 2. An alter ego of Brisbane songwriter Mark Zian. Mark being a largely black and white man himself has always struggled with the concept of grey. So to stimulate his grey matter and maybe some in the people around him Mark started making electronic music under the name of Scruples. Scruples endeavours to paint pictures with sound giving colour to his black and white poetry. He does this through a mixture of samples, field recordings, synthesisers and acoustic instruments.
