At age 15, Sean was inspired to pick up a bass and play music with his guitarist brother Kieran after first hearing the sound of Blink 182s Enema of the State. He began learning his favourite songs from your favourite punk bands and soon graduated into writing music with his brother by his side. Creating riffs on the Casio keyboard and putting them to guitar with Kieran, allowed the two to develop unique melodies and appealing lyrics. Nearing age 21, Sean has since taken sole responsibility of writing music after learning to play guitar and spontaneously producing a fantastic skill for drumming. Seans hard work in refining his musical talent has led him to be involved in bands Perineum and The Sean Degan Dozen and the Box That Ate Time. In 2004 Sean toured around Australia with band Paradox. The musical styling of songs like A Letter to Elisa allows listeners a glimpse of songs to come, as Seans writing technique develops and improves.
