Secheron Peak is the electronic music project of Melbourne-based musician Damien Clarke. Fascinated with the impersonal sounds of many glitch, dark ambient synth and instrumental rock acts, he set out to write music that ‘use[s] electronic sounds in non-electronic sounding arrangements’, building adventurous sci-fi influenced soundscapes, treating sequencers as though individual musicians. His music consists of highly-structured layers of finely sliced drum samples, echoing guitars, pulsing synths and reverberating lead lines. Keeping a strong link between sight and sound, he also creates all associated visual artwork.
