Long before founding acts such as Engine Three Seven, Casey Cassette, The Pentagonal Diagonals and Warnings, Melbourne based musician/sound designer Casey Dean spent his early years glued to his cassette player listening to grunge. When it was announced that Melbourne would be forced to endure one of the longest and strictest Coronavirus lockdowns on the planet, Dean and long time musical collaborator Luke Stash decided to spend that time in Casey's studio, putting together a musical love letter to 90's Alt. Rock. The pair shortlisted 20 tracks from the golden age of grunge and set to work studying every strum, drum pattern, vocal nuance and production technique employed on each of the selected tracks. They whittled the list down to 12 and are releasing each song on the first Friday of every month of 2021.
