Secretary Lily started in 2008 when Jake Wilson needed a band to play at his (hot) sisters 21'st. Originally the band consisted of the same members as today but with Liam Barr as the Lead guitarist. Of course, back then, we where all whiny little assholes who thought that if you hold an electric guitar, you are instantly cool. So we sounded pretty shit. Due to "musical differences" Liam Barr was replaced in 2009 with Paul Nelthorpe. Sometime around then, the band had an epiphany. "Shit..." One of us said, "We need to stop playing shitty covers and play some of our own stuff, and actually practice!" So thats what they did. Since then the band can often be seen at birthdays and small parties/venues around the north side of Melbourne playing their music and getting up to hectic shennanigans
