Sectionals made a name for themselves in the Meanjin scene with the release of dance-hit 'it's good to recycle.' The band joined forces with Brisbane's famous Reverse Garbage Queensland in making a music video, where they built ‘instruments’ out of recycled materials showcasing their passion for sustainability. Following the songs success, Sectionals released their debut EP ‘Open Home’ comprised of summer-day hits like ‘Cumulus’. In keeping with their playful, cheery vibe, Sectionals are kicking off 2023 with new feel-good track ‘Breakfast Pizza.’ Staying true to their name, the band is comprised of songwriter scientist Shannon Tighe (guitar), producer and music industry professional Kriza Canzon (vocals/bass) and orchestral percussionist Zach Brankovich (vocals/drums) who come together to create fun songs out of mundane moments.
