Selassie are a Perth based reggae/punk/grunge/dub band. The band was formed out of a summer of playing video games and listening to Jamaican dub. Originally a garage Sublime cover band, the group quickly found that their chemistry was potent and decided to form an official group and produce original material. Selassie are a fun loving bunch of guys, excited to be making music and doing everything themselves. Their vision is pave their way through the music industry with a DIY sound and attitude, reminiscent of early Jamaican dub sound systems. Selassie are planning to release a 5 track mixtape within the coming months.
