Semishigure (kinda pronounced 'semi - she - goo - ray') formed in Darwin, September 2008 as a three-piece band of two boys and one girl. Claiming to be the only pop-punk band in the Northern Territory who write and sing their songs in Japanese, Semishigure are busy on the live circuit in Darwin with a strong following. They were selected to play at BASSINTHGRASS 2010, the Northern Territory's biggest musical festival, alongside a handful of other local and interstate acts, including Children Collide, Silverchair, the Hilltop Hoods and many more. Semishigure’s live shows unleash an energetic power that will not allow you to sit still. You won’t remember the last time you had so much fun...! All three members of Semishigure are fluent in both Japanese and English hope to play in Japan oneday soon.
