Established in 2020, Sentiment have quickly become one of Brisbane, Australia’s favourite rising acts. The five-piece, made up of Sebastian ‘Seabass’ Ionita (vocals), Alex Swan (guitar), Kye Rogers (guitar), Andy Taylor (bass), and Matty Clay (drums), blend post-hardcore and synth-rock elements to create their identifiable metalcore sound; well-suited to fans of Linkin Park, Thornhill, Issues, and Beartooth. Their release catalogue boasts their songwriting versatility, genre-hopping from the heavy-as-hell Sentiment (Redux), to melodic anthem Once a Rose, Now a Parasite, and into the funky synth-driven vibes of Bittersweet. With a highly anticipated debut EP in the pipeline, and a stellar lineup of shows booked to see them through to the end of the year, Sentiment will continue to be “a feast for your ears” (Wall of Sound, 2021). Sentiment have since spent a well-deserved break working on new music, and are set to release their debut EP What We Could Have Been on the 21st of February.
