Sgt. Hulka is a female Soul Pop singer/pianist and self confessed sparkles addict. Inspired by artists spanning many different decades, Sgt. Hulka's music evokes a sense of nostalgia with melodic hooks that will be stuck in your head for days. On stage, her 7 piece band bring infectious energy that is perfectly paired with her powerful vocals and charismatic performance. At an early age, Sgt. Hulka found a love of soul and blues music. Listening to a variety of artists, she learnt to sing from the heart and she developed her own powerful style. Sgt. Hulka has never really been into writing songs about love, break ups etc. She writes songs about mental health, periods (PMS) and daily struggles. These themes are masked by foot tapping beats and ear worm choruses. With eye catching sparkly outfits, honest lyrics and an impressive stage performance Sgt. Hulka draws her listeners in and holds her audience in the palm of her hands.
