With a passion for music and creative writing Shamiren began writing songs in 1997 whilst living in Canada and the UK. After returning to Sydney in 1999, Sham recorded her first demo and began performing regularly at venues such as The Excelsior, La Bar and The Hopetoun. Sham has been living on the North and South Coasts of NSW since 2001 and has continued performing at local venues, private concerts, community radio events and art exhibitions. Sham has gained further experience in this time collaborating with other musicians and producers, refining her style and defining her sound. Over the last year, Sham co-produced her debut album with an American producer based in Nashville, all via the internet. Together they have created a beautiful and heartfelt collection of songs with a great raw edge to them, the album is called “Innerskin” and will be launched as part of a tour later this year.
