Shane Mead is a Brisbane based singer/songwriter. After tirelessly performing from 2017, Shane released his debut EP "Broken Hearts: Part One" in 2019 to positive reviews. Intended to be a somewhat narrative and cohesive collection of songs, Shane quickly followed up this release with "Broken Hearts: Part Two" in December of 2019. Deterred by his experiences recording these two EP's and the beginnings of the COVID pandemic, Shane spent months at home writing new material and finding a new sound that felt more in tune with his personal experience. Inspired by the Unplugged shows of the 90's, Shane leans fully into the all acoustic sound and sparingly uses an electric instrument. Having developed a keen interest in the sounds of Irish music, especially the uilleann pipes, Shane weaves their magic throughout to bring a profound sense of melancholy and longing to compliment his lyrics.
