At just 17, Shani has been writing songs for almost six years, picking up the guitar along the way at age 13 and more recently beginning to record her songs this year. In Shani's words, her love of music: "...has opened up so much for me in life and helps me express my feelings through song. I've always hoped to have a career in music because its something that I am so passionate about, it helps with my life and confidence. I'm inspired by all sorts of genres. I would say that every musician is my idol, knowing that these people work hard for what they love motivates me to do the same."
