Watson writes the kind of tender bedroom folk that makes you want to jump under a doona with your first love. As a soloist she’s fresh born, but long stints as the front-woman of both boatfriends and birdsandbelles means her resume is akin to a sexy (musical) dream. She’s played with Holly Throsby, Megan Washington, Matt Corby, The Middle East, Alex & the Ramps, Ainslie Wills and Elizabeth Rose, most of whom will tell you straight up how difficult it is not to like how Watson re-creates her songs live. Recently Watson was featured on the Yen Magazine Winter compilation CD alongside Mia Dyson and Thelma Plum.
