Edit history

A veteran of the melbourne underground punk and electronic music scene Shaquille Mcneill (aka Tim McNeill)is no stranger to unusual sounds, sticky floors and masses of throbbing bodies. Starting as a guitarist in art punk 2 piece DUCK DUCK CHOP who's abrasive deconstructed punk evolved to include influences from a wide range of sources such as uk garage, wonky hip hop, bass music, post punk and doom metal Shaquille eventually started other projects such as the short lived experimental shoe-gaze band Silverbits and eventually formed minimal electronic pop group GOLDEN GIRLS that released two e.ps and supported groups such as Various asses, Total Giovani and Shouse amongst others. With Golden Girls on permanent hiatus Shaq found himself adrift and plunged himself into solo work and started a incubator label NOPE RECORDS with lifelong friends (GHOSTPUNCHER and STOJAC) and collaborators from New York city culminating in his first official solo release the 2020 single "Mutations".
