From good ol rock n roll, to stoner prog, then hip hop and electronic, music has been a big part of Shawty's life since the tender age of two. An ancient artefact known as a VCR tape from the year 1994 contains footage of the young michelin man having a boogie while his old man plays "Wild Thing" on guitar. Fast forward twenty years, skipping past the awkward teenage phase with high school bands and lessons etc. Shawty forms a band whose sound becomes a sweet combo of stoner, blues and progressive rock. After gigging in Brisbane for a couple of years, Shawty's sound design studies became too intense in his final year of uni so sadly the band parted ways. Shawty could never stop being creative but he needed a change of genre if he was going to write something fresh and new. He began listening to funk music which also led to hip hop and electronic music.
