Hailing from the small surf town of Coolum Beach on the Sunny Coast, Shen Panthers bring a refreshing but nostalgic perspective to the Australian rock scene. When best mates Jake Kennerson, Pat Preston and Tom Brackley welcomed Alex Reichelt (formerly of Brisbane heavy hitters Take us to Vegas) to the band at the back end of 2022, they went from strength to strength musically and professionally, setting themselves lofty goals for 2023. Since then, Shen Panthers have found themselves overwhelmed with a sense of excitement for the music they’ve been cooking up in their beachside jam room. Influenced heavily by the music their parents listened to, Shennies infuse rock sounds from every decade from the 60s through to today. Hard-hitting rhythms, drippy guitars and soulfully bluesy vocals combine nicely to give them a unique and tasty flavour amidst the rock revival currently happening in the Australian music scene.
