Melbourne/Naarm singer-songwriter Sherry is proud to be defying Asian stereotypes in the music scene. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts to appease the cultural expectations of her Chinese parents, she boldly decided to pursue her passion for music starting with her debut single 'Work on Yourself'. Influenced by artists such as Rihanna, Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, Adele, Craig David, Destiny's Child, Boyz II Men and BTS, her sound is a blend of catchy Pop and R&B melodies coupled with relatable lyricism that showcases her smooth, deep tones and powerful vocals. After a four-year-long hiatus, Sherry marks her highly anticipated return with her upbeat track ‘Where U Been?’ in 2024. Subsequently, she commences 2025 with her latest single a romantic ballad called ‘Candlelight’. A strong-willed and self-assured woman, Sherry will not let societal barriers stand in her way of achieving her musical aspirations.
