“Blow wave”, a cross pollination of hair metal and new wave. Shikkake began as a comedy genre bending quartet "The Hollardores". After 2 years of extensive gigging and an EP, four became three, a piano added and Shikkake was born in 2005. Heavily influenced by bands such as Muse, System of a Down, The Darkness, The Dresden Dolls, Queen & Spandau Ballet, Shikkake continue to bend genres & have created their own style unheard of on the isle of Brisbane.
