Ecstatic. Radical. Wicked. Its Electromania, really! Like an experiment gone miserably out of control…. Borne from an Imac, a borrowed microphone from a step-sisters’ karaoke machine, and a viral curiosity about where they could take their combined creativity. Egan, The Undiepuncher and Rod Stern came together and started a digital tour de trend. But they were not about to stop just there. Not them. Moving straight to D block, The Undiepuncher and Rod Stern started playing at renowned open mic nights and computer swap meets, while Egan worked night shift at Cyber Sniper, an internet café whose cornucopia of electronic output served to diversify Shimmy Shack’s colossal library of samples. Continuing to experiment with different sounds, sub-styles and genres to create the inimitable Shimmy Shack vibe, the three found themselves being widely loved by all. The sound emanating from ‘The Shack’ is as familiar as it is new. An experiment in sound. An evolution in music. A phenomenon that
