Shoes For Strings were formed in 2008 out of a deep love of music and an even deeper affection for each other. These modern day, self styled polygamists married their bass player Iain into the band in 2009 and the quartet was fully formed. The band's self professed 'lyrical wizardy' knows no bounds, with one line corkers such as "the toliet bowl is open/it feels like i'm falling in (Bliss To Me)" and "the only reason we're still together is 'cos I'm guaranteed a fuck (Break-Up)". On paper the lyrics display not only their innate vulnerabity but also a strong romantic side and bare their soul to their doting legion of die-hard fans. Instilled at a young age with an obvious and inescapable working-class ethic, the lads aim to please - slogging it out in as many down-trodden, back-alley gigs as they can get their grubby hands on. Headed by their incomparable patriarch Elliott Wood and supported by his loyal, (mildly) musically abled minions, the bands musical prowess is only
