Formed from a friendly jam with a few prepubescent wastrels in Frankston, Shoot the messenger began to develop their style, inhaling all the influences from many alternative and punk bands along with external genres, and then singling down to a consolidated 3 piece, but not without the important liminal beginnings of the band's establishment. Shoot the Messenger frequently performs across the Mornington Peninsula and South Eastern suburbs (and elsewhere if they are lucky), and continues to sprout its popularity within the local area, illustrating their noteworthy stories or thesis statements with their lyrics, their genre receptor musicianship, and their questionably comedic lifestyles whilst playing live.
