ShotSekter History A panelbeater, a Telstra tech, a door salesman and a chippie, fuelled by alcohol, liked the sound of themselves covering Aussie rock classics in pubs with sticky carpet and at mates parties. They called themselves "The Skrotes", and no-one took them seriously, especially not themselves. That was until a frustrated plumbing supplies sales chick with a "Chrissie Amphlettish" gravely throat jumped out of the audience and gave The Skrotes a voice, a great voice. They named her special K. She added a new dimension and the new combination was able to create a list of true original Aussie rock tunes to get the whole place pumping, sweating, laughing, drinking and rocking out. ShotSekter was born!
