With humble beginnings as a cover band playing pub tunes to drunken sailors, “Shutterspeed" was born in 2006. After a solitary gig, the band decided to amp it up, and began writing and performing their own original music. Many hours were spent pouring over lyrics and riffs in lounge rooms, studios and local venues to refine their sound into what it is now. Described as powerful riffs overlaid with subtle melodies, “Shutterspeed” have gathered a strong local following. The boys hail from a rather colourful background, with roots in gospel, rock, indie, and blues. This ensures that there is always a wealth of musical experience to draw inspiration from in the writing and performance of all their material. “Shutterspeed” are currently putting tracks together for their debut release, due late 2009.
