In the Beginning Silence Lost is a rhythmic rock band that was established in mid-2003, as the brainchild of singer-songwriter, Rhett Bowlen. Rhett uncovered his love and talent of writing music in his early teens, and as his desire to form a band grew, he enlisted the help of school mates Adon McCallum on drums and Ben Radford on lead guitar. The outfit was complete when bassist and backing vocalist Tom Treby joined the group a few weeks after the other two new additions. Despite their different musical backgrounds, the group seemed to meld nicely, both musically and personally. The trademark Silence Lost sound integrates the rock elements of bands like Incubus and Shihad, with the pop stylings of Nine Days, Third Eye Blind and Sister Hazel. 2003 The rest of 2003 saw the band establish a library of originals which were unveiled at numerous gigs and eventually recorded onto their first studio project, Tears in a Glass Window. This was created in association with RadMusic. 2004 2004
