Silky Digits aka Andy Newman, was never satisfied with just playing chords. He found the guitar an instrument of unrefined beauty, and was intrigued by the technicality of finger picking guitarists. So it was this oft forgotten art form that Andy set about honing, creating music that incorporated his guitar as an identity. However being a one man band, Andy has to utilise all of his strengths, and with a love of the guitar the central theme to his music, he does not forsake the identifiable medium of the voice. Often he will range from blissful whisper to obsessed scream, sometimes within the same song. With a naturally high register, Andy's sound is soothing and also emotional.
