Formed on the monkey bars at Mill Park Secondary during the relentless summer of '08 Silver Lining delighted their fellow schoolmates with their musical prowess and truly unique take on modern rock music. Taking their sound from the Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and early Silverchair the band learned a set of songs that showed off their lead guitar chops and enigmatic vocal style. Fueled by boredom and teenage angst the band started writing original material at a frantic pace, playing to anyone that would listen, friends, teachers, strangers. With the help of their classmates they recorded a handful of songs and tried to capture the energy and intensity of their live performance. They went on to win a slew of awards at 2009's Kool Skool awards including most outstanding guitarist and are now waiting for the rest of the world to catch up. In 2010 Silver Lining are hoping to be like a silver bullet right through the vampire heart of the Australian music industry.
