The biggest underground punk rock band in the world SILVERKANE//SLVRKN formed in the Australian summer of 2007/08 in the historic coastal town of Port Fairy in Victoria, located 286 km south west of Melbourne. The psyche of the two main protagonists, John & Jordan, was that while Port Fairy hosted the biggest Folk Festival in the southern hemisphere, and there were many extremely talented musicians from the town, there'd never been a great, world renowned band from the town. In forming SILVERKANE//SLVRKN there still hasn't... ...until now! In 2009 SILVERKANE//SLVRKN released their self titled debut EP, which included instant classics "28", "500 MILLION POUNDS", "CUT UP THROAT", and early demos of "MDMA" and "NUMBER 1 SON". With ALL THE BAND MEMBERS hailing from Port Fairy, though, there has always been continuity problems with the band and being able to play together.
