Formed in early 2008, SilverStakes have quickly achieved the status of being one of Melbourne's up and coming premiere Alternative Rock outfits. Taking pride in their energetic live shows, Silverstakes have rocked their hard hitting riffs and melodic sound scape with many of Australia's best touring rock bands, including: Mammal, The Getaway Plan, Dead Letter Circus, British India, Trial Kennedy, City Escape, House Vs. Hurricane, Behind Crimson Eyes and all the while gathering a considerable local fan base. SilverStakes have achieved a lot in a small amount of time and have no intention of stopping the rockin' train ride and are currently in the early stages of writing their sophomore EP. Band members Matt Eva, James Newton, Adrian Duke and Scott Alexander are excited about the future and can not wait to bring the SilverStakes experience to a town near you!

Silver Stakes is a funktastic rock band from the south eastern burbs.... and Sunbury... and consists of Scott Alexander, Adrian Duke, Matt Eva and James 'Newda'. Silver Stakes blends Scott's energetic vocals, Adrian's funky rhythms, Matt's intense drumming and James' slaptastic sideburn bass to invent our original sound.
