Since The River is the musical collaboration between Adam Bennett and Sarah Hickey, a two-piece from Melbourne, who are inspired by minimalism, lyrical freedom and the addition of live projections/visuals to accompany their sound. Inspired by the likes of Scott Walker, David Lynch, Bat For Lashes, Fever Ray and HTRK, the two-piece produce a rather eclectic blend of styles. With the layering of synthetic beats, Adam's soaring guitars and Sarah's haunting vocals, the duo create an atmosphere far larger than what a two-piece ultimately should. Since The River have just started collaborating with visual extraordinaire's 'Projector Obscura' to create a live experience like no other, with their debut gig to occur in early 2012, and an EP release to follow shortly thereafter. "We carry a heart the weight of the ocean...A sorrow that holds the heat of the sun".
