Sines of Exquisite Pleasure was the minimalist/ambient music project of composer/artist Douglas Em (b. 1961, Nashville, TN). Em privately released six cassette-only albums from 1982 to 1997, the first three of which were produced while he was a student at the University of South Carolina. Later he released several CDs and published a book about music theory and sound design in the early 2000's.
